Great Guitar Build Off Update

My excitement for this event continues to grow.

I spoke with Tom at Crimson Guitars the other day about our kit for the Great Guitar Build Off, what a nice guy! This is the kind of thing we have come to expect from the whole crew at Crimson… I almost feel bad that we are going to beat them in the contest.

For people across the pond (I hear they call us YANKS) you will need to do some conversion to US dollars. Guitar builders live in a global community, this is not a big deal.

Building guitars is hard. You can love it but it won’t always love you back… It’s kinda like dating a German chick. For those who are looking to get started guitar building these high-quality kits are a cool short cut. One thing I like about them is that I know what kind of wood is used.

Shifting gears, a bit, I am happy to see that the field of competitors in the Great Guitar Build Off is getting larger. I have talked about this a few times in videos and live streams, but I wanted to reiterate that my shop is open to any of the other competitors. If you are interested in coming to Colorado and spending some time with us, you are more than welcome. We have ample parking, lots of tools and a spray booth.

I am really looking forward to seeing what we all come up with, not to mention all the fun I have been having with the trash talk. I can’t help but notice that I seem to be the only one doing this right now. Maybe the other builders aren’t comfortable doing it, or maybe, they just have class?
